Securing Folders
In Windows 98, the display gives special protection to web directories WINDOWS and SYSTEM: opening these folders, in fact, does not show their contents, but a message that warns of the danger to modify the files they contain. Only by clicking a special link, so you can see the real contents of these folders. If you want to bypass this protection, simply open the file with Notepad and look for the Desktop.ini PERSISTMONIKER line. Find the line added at the beginning of the same symbol (semicolon). In this way, opening the folder Windows and System will soon receive their content.
