Eliminate darts connections in XP
The trick: as in other operating systems, even in XP you can remove shortcut arrows. Here's what the reader suggests:
"The CREATION creates shortcuts on the desktop icons marked by a small arrow, not always welcome. To remove it do so: (this has only been tested on Windows XP)
- Open the Start menu "Run" and type "regedit" to enter in the register configuration;
- Select Edit - Find in Search lnkfile only select Keyword and type in the Find box;
- Select IsShortcut and then clik right to select Rename from the menu;
- Rename IsShortcut eg isShortcut_old the string;
- Right clik to do in an empty area under IsShortcut and click New and then String Value;
- Rename the New Value # 1 in RsShortcut
- Finally, restart Windows for changes to take effect.
On the desktop will be gone all the arrows of the shortcut icons.
To return to the previous situation RsShortcut delete and rename in isShortcut_old IsShortcut. "
